Summer Fair

GLADE SCHOOL SUMMER FAIR

The Glade Summer Fair is fast approaching and we have been working hard to put together a fantastic event for you. This year we have some new attractions as well as some of the old favorites.

Bouncy Castles, Go Carts, Raffle, Tombola, Treasure Hunt,Geo Rock, Pan for Gold, Guess the Teacher, Hook a Duck, Beat the Goalie, Lucky card, Treasure Map, Face Painting, Henna Tattoos, Temporary Tattoos, Nail Painting, BBQ, BBQ with Halal meat, Coconut Shy, Badge making, Craft stalls, Cake stall, Soak the Teacher, Lucky Dip, Drinks and Refreshments, Pimms Stall, Guess the balloons in the car, Fire Engine, Wanstead Rugby club and Live entertainment.

The Mayor of Redbridge will be attending our Fair.

This is our main fundraising event of the year and hope you will come along and support your school for a great day.

We still need volunteers to help on the day, to set up or help run a stall or to help tidy at the end of the day. Even if you can only spare half an hour it would be very appreciated.

Would you like to rent or hire a stall at the summer fair this year? The cost will be £15 if you are a parent of a child at the Glade school, if not £20 for the day.
No food and drink please.

ESTATE AGENT BOARDS

ESTATE AGENT BOARDS FOR THE SUMMER FAIR

A local estate agent has agreed to give a donation to the school for every board put up advertising the Glade Summer Fair on 25th June 2011.
The more boards we have the more money we can raise, so please help by allowing a board to be put up at your property.
The board will only be advertising the Glade School Fair and no reference to For Sale/Sold. It will be put up for a maximum of 2 weeks prior to the fair and 1 week after.
Please hand in your name and address to the office ASAP.

RECYCLE

We are pleased to announce that we have organised some recycling collections in order to raise funds for the Glade. So you have the opportunity to spring clean and declutter and well as raising vitally needed funds for our school.In addition it will raise awareness amongst the children of the benefits of recycling and how this helps the environment.

Bags2School will be collecting from our school on Tuesday 22nd March 2011. Please bring your bag (or bags) to the Bicycle shed at the main entrance . This can include adults and children's unwanted clothes, shoes (tied together) hats, belts, bags, soft toys, curtains and bedding (not duvets or pillows) If you fill the donation bag and still have more then you can use any other bag to donate your items.

Jewellery Recycling - Please send your unwanted gold, sliver, costume jewellery and watches. Even damaged, broken and incomplete items will help. Your child will receive an envelope to return your items to school on 18thMarch. All envelopes need to be returned by 30th March and will also be entered into a prize draw, the lucky winner will receive an Art pencil set or an Eco Torch.

We are also collecting Cables - all unwanted cables need to have the plugs removed and brought to school ready for collection on 30th March. Please leave your cables in the bicycle shed by the main entrance by 9am on 30th March.

Colouring competition

The colouring competition has been extended till the 14th March.

Well done to everyone who has completed a picture they look fantastic on the fence. But we need more of your wonderful pictures.

Extra copies are available at the school office and you can choose any design you wish.

We have some amazing artistic talent at the glade!

PAWS COLOURING COMPETITION

Calling all budding Van Gogh's.

We are running a colouring competition for all children from Nursery to Year 6.

It costs £1 to enter. Colouring sheets must be returned to the school office with the money by 3rd March 2011. Please put the money in a clearly marked envelope with your child's name and class.

There will be one prize for the overall winner and one smaller prize for each year group.
All entries will be laminated and displayed around the school fences for all to see.

Winners to be announced Monday 7th March 2011.

Good luck and we look forward to seeing all your masterpieces!
